If every Halloween your little ghosts and goblins enjoy dumping their candy on the living room floor and then sorting, trading, and gorging on their favorites, go ahead and let them at it. You only get to be a kid once, and that’s just what happens every October 31.
But if you’re like many parents, and by the next morning you think your children have way too much candy, and you’d like to get rid of some, then we have a solution.
In an effort to minimize the amount of Halloween candy our children consume, Sam Kadan Orthodontics will be participating in a candy buy-back program. Beginning on October 26 through November 4, we will be collecting Halloween candy from children from all over Bucks County and Montgomery County. For every pound of candy donated (up to five pounds), $1.00 will be given to the “trick-or-treater”; just like a visit from the tooth fairy.
The collected candy will then be picked up by the USO and distributed to our brave soldiers overseas, as part of Operation Gratitude care packages.
“This will be a win/win for everyone involved, our patients, their parents, the troops, my staff and myself,” said board-certified orthodontist Dr. Sam Kadan. “Seeing the kids give up their candy for our troops will be an amazing experience, and I’m sure boost troop morale, and remind them of home. Most importantly, however, it provides the opportunity for every American child to say thank-you to our military.”
